Soil
Sampling methods include:
- Continuous coring
- Dual-cased coring for
granular soils
- Discrete sampling from
a specific depth
Completion of Soil
Borings
Upon completion of soil
sampling, borings are back-filled using a cement/bentonite
slurry and are completely flush at grade to match the
surrounding surface.

The Piston Soil Sampler is used to collect discrete samples from desired
depths.

EST performs groundwater sampling using truck-mounted hydraulic-drive
equipment. Groundwater samples may be collected using a drop-out well screen
sampler or by installing a temporary one-inch PVC well in a two-inch bore-hole
created using hydraulic-drive coring techniques.
Groundwater sampling
methods include:
- Drop-out well screen
sampler
- Temporary PVC wells
- Bailer or pump sample
collection
